Tobacco use not only harms our body but smoking in particular harms those who breathe in the second hand smoke. Our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. ( I Cor. 6 19&20 )so we should take care of it. COPD, Cancer, and Heart disease can be caused by tobacco use.
ReplyDeleteOne should not think they cannot be a Christian if they smoke. Yet, a Christian strives to live an overcoming life. I smoked for awhile after I was saved but all the while I tried earnestly to stop. I was not instantly delivered but I did stop and have never resumed the habit. I agree with Ginboh, that we are the temple of the Holy Ghost and should treat our bodies accordingly. That goes for overeating, alcohol, stress, and any other unhealthy habits we may deal with in our life.
ReplyDeleteSmoking goes beyond a "bad habit" and people need the demonic spirit of addiction broken off of thier life to completely be set free. Jesus can do it but you must show your complete dependence on Him to set you free. Grace, grace, grace!
